Should I Teach My Baby a Second Language?
Yes, you should teach your child a second language if you can. Research overwhelmingly supports teaching second languages early, because as we know it's harder to learn a second language as we get older. Studies suggest that optimal learning is achieved when children start learning two languages at an early age (i.e., between birth and 3 years of age) through high-quality interactions with live human beings, and both languages are supported throughout toddler, preschool, and school years,” reports the University of Washington’s Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences.

About Teresa and Makhailo
Teresa Robles
I am the proud grandma to Khailo, who is 8 years old and mom to Anastacia, Mariah and Gabriel.
I was raised in a large Hispanic family of which my mother, Carolina refused to speak to English to me or my 12 siblings. My brothers and sisters all spoke English to each other and spoke Spanish to our Mom. I think this would be the definition of bilingual immersed family. Being bilingual was extremely beneficial to me in so many ways I couldn't list them all. Both in my personal and professional life. I am still benefiting from my ability to speak two languages.
Makhailo inspired me to follow my dream of creating these fun books. I really wanted this little blonde hair and blue-eyed boy to speak Spanish and create books that parents/caregivers could integrate into everyday activities into learning and reinforcing words by identifying things, people and places that a child sees everyday!
